In fact, Saraswati was certain her Valentine's Day was going to be devoid of anything positive whatsoever and that she was going to feel unexpectedly lonely and tempted to write something very unworthy of your readership, which would not only be an "over-share" but would also bum everyone out. Right in the darkest moment of her day, Sitting Bullshit stepped in and surprised her by e-mailing her a fully completed post. He then called to say he knew how hard her day was and that she couldn't get to the blog, so he did it for her. He wrote everything below the video himself. Not a word of it is Saraswati's. It is the nicest Valentine's Day gift she's ever gotten.
Sitting Bullshit and I don't (and can't and won't ever) have a romantic thing going on, but I have to say THAT is what caring is about; it is calculated thoughtfulness. The fact that someone cared enough about me and knows me well enough to understand how I was feeling and deliver to me exactly what I needed at the exact moment I needed it? Well, that, dear readers, is what makes you feel a little less alone in this big, cold universe.
Happy Valentine's Day. I hope you have someone who can do that for you and I hope someday I can find it. xoxo, Saraswati
No? That didn’t seem especially relatable? Then how about like playing the same lottery numbers twice a week for years on end only to have your numbers be drawn on the one (humongous jackpot) drawing that you couldn’t afford to buy a single ticket for due to your excessive lottery gambling?
Still not resonating? That’s because it isn’t really like either of those things. I tried to liken being placed in the FZ to (almost) striking it rich because in order for a guy to find himself in the FZ, he first has to find the girl of his dreams. No one considers themselves “Friend-Zoned” when they only have a minor crush, nor if it’s simply the case that they would just fuck any and/or all of their female friends in any way, shape, and/or
